Kacee Jones – Lead Farmer

My name is Kacee Jones and I am a queer farmer, beekeeper, and forager based in southeast Michigan. I fell in love with Community Farm for its deep love for the land, brilliant knowledge base of growers, artists, and craftspeople, as well as the connection we form with each other through food. With a background in permaculture, my growing interests surround Korean Natural Farming, Native Plant Agriculture, food sovereignty, JADAM, soil microbes, medicinal plants, multi-species collaboration, and sustainable agriculture. The list goes on! If you see me around I will gladly nerd out with you!

Pete Hauman – Assistant Farmer

Hi there! My name is Peter Hauman, I’m a Dexter, Michigan native and young aspiring organic farmer. My journey started in 2022 when I left school to work on an organic farm specializing in both annual vegetable production and permaculture. Over the last few years I have developed my personal agricultural philosophy around self sufficiency and sustainability, with an interest in methods like Biodynamics, permaculture, and other forms of natural farming.
Outside of cultivating the land, I’m quite an old soul and am naturally drawn to the study of history, traditional cultures, and especially traditional forms of philosophy and spirituality, which play a keen role in my holistic and health oriented outlook of the world. I enjoy reading, being out in nature, and being of service to family, friends, and community.
